Question Weight watchers and Walk-away-the pounds

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting anything, and I need HELP!!!!!
I have started with the "walk-away-the-lbs" tapes and I am doing WW, I want to know does the combination work? I know each person is different... I'm about 70 lbs overweight and I know I need to cardio to get the weight off...I put on a Thermo-suit and I really did sweat, plus I was a little winded...I also attend Curves, so....any input?
I started WW back in Jan (gift to me) and did fine until...I got a big head and thought I didn't need my weekly meetings...(lost 12 gained it all back!)
Anyhow....I'm back on track and trying to drink my water and eat all my points, plus work out. Just need to ask, does anyone out there have anything good or bad to say about "walk-away the lbs"? Please let a sista know if I'm waisting my time, or really on the right track.

Re: Weight watchers and Walk-away-the pounds

Hi sweet, it sounds like you're on the right track. I don't know what walk away.... is, is it a tape that you follow? I'm currently walking away on the treadmill, this week i decided to be consistent in my wl endeavours, it's day 5 and i'm still going strong. I've never committed to more than 2 weeks on a weight reduction plan. This recent heatwave we had motivated me. I wish you best of luck, any effort is good. Please post again to let me know your progress.

Wink Re: Weight watchers and Walk-away-the pounds

Thanks Melodius,
Walk away the Lbs is a tape that you follow...it comes in 1-2-3 mile walks and you have arm movements that go along with the walk. Pretty fun and I have been dedicated to it thus far.
Keep up the good work yourself. Are you currently doing Weight watchers at this time as well? Please let me know of your progress!!!

Re: Weight watchers and Walk-away-the pounds

Yep, i'm watching my weight alright. I'm trying my own thing right now. Less of what i normally eat, which includes well balanced meals. I do try to incorporate every diet practice known to man in a typical day. Some days i'll have a protein shake as a meal, or i'll have a meal with vegetables, protein and no starch, but, for the most part, i'm trying to eliminate refined sugars and flours (at least i aim to).

How was the weekend for ya? i broke a bit but i made sure to keep up with the walking. Everytime i embark on an exercise program, i get a bad cold then i give up (explains why i haven't been successful thus far) i'm fighting a bad cold right now but through it all i went on that treadmill yesterday and walked for 30 mins, i also included 2.5 lbs dumbells on each hand. I felt great. Today my nose is really stuffy, please send me some positive energy (or prayers) that i don't fall off the exercise wagon, I'm gonna give my bod a break today and hopefully try to workout tomorrow. Take care, keep at it GF.

Re: Weight watchers and Walk-away-the pounds

Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone is a pretty cool system, especially if you do it with the weights or straps. My wife and I have been doing it as part of our workout for over a year, and it's really fun. If you have enough space, you just start walking with the video and the miles add up. You go from just marching to knee lifts, kicks, kickbacks, squats and a lot of other moves. Leslie is pretty cool and it's a great video to do at your own pace. If you want to Jog or Run Away the Pounds, you can! I don't think it would really be enough for a lot of weight loss, but for just starting out it's great cause you can go at your own pace and at least you are up and moving and getting healthy as far as motivation, stamina, cadiovascular and getting your muscles used to moving.

We have both lost about 20 pounds so far this year and have really been enjoying ourselves getting back into shape and being healthy. We mix in other aerobics, weight training when we can, walking, biking, hiking, Gazelleing, stair stepping and any other activity we can think of. Plus, we are trying to eat better, but that's hard, we both love great Italian and Mexican food too much.
