It's probably because you were dehydrated before and didn't realize it. You should drink at least 1/2-3/4 gallon a day or more even if you do no physical activity. Do you consume a lot of salt in your diet? Salt will make you retain water, but that's a good thing being hydrated is very good for you. As long as you feel ok you're fine. Another trick you can do if you're trying to lose weight is drink a couple glasses before every meal, it fills you up so you eat less.
