I did a lot of readings about coconut oil that can actually help you lose weight. There's some website that have great sources of information regarding coconut oil and its link to weight loss. I know some people who have lost weight using CO in their diet.
I started CO couple days ago. I use it for cooking and mixing it in juices/shakes
so far, im doing really well.. Its been 6 days.. I havent checked my weight yet. I have been exercising everyday. I feel a lot better and have toned up a little bit.
I have seen more articles about CO in health magazines recently and it talks about the health benefits as well as weight loss.
There is ( removed ) that you should look up, it has great information sources.

Reason: please do not post searches for websites
just my opinion i suppose.. i dont advocate the use of oils i prefer the consumption of complex carbs & if anything...soybean oil as a last resort & i'm losing pretty quickly..
oh no no no! It is NOT bad for you! CO is like olive oil or avocados--they may be higher in fat but its all GOOD fat. And its in moderate amounts like a tablespoon or two a day. thats better then consuming hundreds of calories and fat from bagels or beef. Beef is the worst for you. Oils are very good for you, but in moderation. The complex carbs are very good too. Im shying away SLOWLY from the refined sugars. Anyways, please keep us posted and maybe share your weight if you would like to? It may not lose the weight for you, but if it helps I may want to go out to buy it even though I HATE CO! LOL thanks!

Coconut oil is a medium density oil and necessary for many metabolic functions. Don't be caught up in the hype that all oils are "bad" for you, they are essential for metabolic functions. Go to the medical websites and read the actual research papers before you decide anything is good or bad. Remember when eggs, peanutbutter and applejuice were "bad"?
I read in an article not too long ago that there are benefits of taking CO. However, I read that you should not use it for cooking, because when it is heated it becomes toxic! Don't know if that is true or not, but I wouldn't risk it. Just stick with it for salads and juices and stuff.
why aren't there any coconut oil supplements? is it important what kind of coconut oil to get? like do you get the virgin kind? my sis was gonna buy it but she didnt sigh i guess ill have to get it myself on wednesday then... how bout cooking with it, good right? do you really like... take in a tablespoon of coconut oil raw? is it better than cooking with it?

Coconut oil is very good for you and has amazing health benifets as well as weight loss. I always talk about it in these message boards however, what kind of coconut oil are you buying? is it organic virgin coconut oil?Certified organic, USDA standards
No refining
No chemicals added
No bleaching
No deodorization
No hydrogenation
Non-GMO
Coconuts from traditional palms only -- no hybrid varieties
From fresh coconuts, not the dried "copra" used in most coconut oils
Low-level heated only -- does not damage nutrients
because if not your not going to get the health benifets out of it. Especially if its bought from a grocery store
