Your body is using more energy through the morning and the afternoon, rather than the evening therefore it makes sense to have a breakfast, the calories from which will be used in daily activity e,g work etc, in the evening is when you are less active, people skip breakfast and have a big luch and dinner, but its the evening that you an do without food or should have a small meal,you dont need these calories when you are just going to be sleeping.
