Is this normal?

Ok, so I am on day five of my lifestyle change, I dont want to call it a diet because to me it implys that it will end. So, I am waking up earlier to eat a good breakfast, I have a small snack mid morning, healthy lunch, little afteroon snack, and a small dinner. My DR told me I need to be eating less than 1600 cals a day, and exercise. I have been able to keep up for five day, which is amazing for me. But, by 4:30, I begin to get a bad headach, and an upset stomach, like I want to vomit. I am not eating anything heavy, or acidic, so I dont think that is causing it, I just dont know what it is. Is this normal for beginning weight loss? Is it b/c I am lowering my cals so much? I hate feeling this way b/c I am always at work when I start getting sick feeling, and it didnt happen at work before I started cutting cals. Any advice?

Is it happening everyday? does it help if you eat something? are you eating anything that you havent eaten in the past?

It does happen everyday. They only thing that I am doing different is that I am eating more veggies, and less junk. Eating something doesnt always take it away, but it can help it a little bit. But it takes awhile for the headach and upset stomach to go away.

Are you taking in less sugar or caffeine? Both could cause withdrawl symptoms of headaches. Lasts a week maybe, then you're fine.

Yeah, they definitely sound like withdrawl symptoms. You body might be used to a certain level of sugars in your diet. Now your body is out of balance, but should readjust itself in the next couple weeks. Keep up the great work!
