I started watching what I eat / dieting on January 9th (the first day of a new term). I first weighed myself on January 16, and since then I've lost 12 lbs (from 218 to 206). I spoke to a nutritionalist because I knew this was an abnormal amount of weight loss for such a short period of time. She reviewed my diet with me, and said it looks fine. Apparently the large amount during the first few weeks is mostly water loss because you are changing your diet - less salt, less sugar, etc.
Regardless of the reason, I hope I keep loosing at this rate!
