epsom salt for weightloss?

I just posted on the digestive disorders board about a gallbladder flush using epsom salts and weather or not epsom salts would be fine to use as a soloution to bloatness but i just had a thought... can some one tell me how the salts actually work? do they get rid of whats in ur stomach or ur intestines or is that the same thing or what? im just wondering how effective they'd be for weightloss or rather to maintain weight if say they were used when ya overate..? i would assume it wouldnt be a healthy method of weightloss if it were used for that but what i want to know is if it would actually work?

Re: epsom salt for weightloss?

Sodium chloride..(salt)
A principle function of salt is to regulate osmotic pressure and the movement of fluids to form from cells.
while salt is perhaps the only food item other than water that is universally consumed, its intake varies considerably with many diffrent factors.
soduim chloride makes up 28% of the body by weight, its essential to muscle movement and it produces iron for digestion.
without salt your body would not function properly, but to much salt ..it would not function properly...when you sweat its proper to replace the salt in your body due to deprivation.
but to consume salt for weight loss or maintain weight...I don't think thats a very good idea? maybe a good thought or wishful thinking...but
let salt do what it was intended for...your bodys chemistry.
