Boxer's Secret to Cut weight

Hi everyone, I want to share something I learned recently that has been used in the boxing world for decades to cut weight before a fight. They actually rub on Albolene makeup remover (yes, that makeup remover your grandmother probably used!) to problem areas like abs, thighs and butt. Then, you work out with your regular exercise routine. The albolene creates this "shield" that causes you to lose water in these areas quicker, cutting inches! It really works. I couple this with those workout shorts that keep your the area warm (with Neoprene) for a really great affect. Try it and let me know if it also works for you...want to know if this is a fluke.

Re: Boxer's Secret to Cut weight

If its true...which I doubt...It would only be temporary as it would just be water.

IF boxers do use it ,it would be away for them to get their weight down just before a weigh in.

Useless for anyone else.

Re: Boxer's Secret to Cut weight

Thanks for the input. I'm going to keep trying it as it seems to be slimming me in these areas and it has an extra benefit of making my skin so soft so that it actually appears nicer, too. (I have lots of stretch marks from pregnancy and it seems to be making them less noticeable).

I'll post back results in a few more weeks. Seems like it would be a great way to look better in that dress or pair of jeans. If anyone else tries it, let me know how it works for you.

Re: Boxer's Secret to Cut weight

Okay, maybe I'm crazy, but my middle truly feels much slimmer...yes, it is because I'm exercising, but I have statistically lost more inches around my abdomen (if I can even call it that yet!) than the rest of my body and this is usually the place that I see results last. It is less bloated looking, skin (stretch marks) look smoother too.

For the naysayers...

If you're just losing water weight, then what's the point?

Try running with a trash bag over you.. cut the head out and arms out it works better for getting rid of water and toxins...Lisa

Cool Re: Boxer's Secret to Cut weight

The noticeable difference has motivated yes. Couldn't you say that ALL weight loss is temporary unless you keep it going and maintain it.

Had a weekend occasion and zipped up the nice pants quickly...felt sleek!

FYI...heard that in Mohammed Ali's biography, he mentions this trick.
