New here ... depression & weight gain (w/o eating)

I have found my weight gain or loss is not contingent upon how much or what I eat. It has to do with the "adrenalin rush" I get upon falling in "love." (Please understand I'm getting past that codependent part of my life.) However, when I'm unhappy and depressed, my waist and stomach blimp out. I work with a personal trainer, do cardio, and nothing works. Yet when I'm in a hot-and-heavy relationship, my weight drops like a rock.

What gives? What is WRONG with me???

Possible it could have something to do with the amount of cortisol your body produces when you're depressed. Studies have shown that your body produces more cortisol when you are stressed, therefore, makes you more apt to weight gain. Personally, I didn't start gaining weight until I fell in love (tee-hee!)
