I'm Larry, a 50-year-old male who just went through a significant weight loss. I used to weight 239 lbs and lost 52 lbs in 45 days.

Now I am experiencing severe lightheadedness which is affecting my work as landscaper. I have been to several doctors, had several blood tests, and even an MRI. No one can find anything wrong.

I am wondering if anyone else out there has experienced lightheadedness after a big weight loss and if so, how long does this last and what can I do about it?

how the heck did you lose more than a pound a day for that long??? if it was through starvation, id imagine that could be the source of your lightheadedness!

That much weight in such a short time will have consisted of a lot of muscle loss and water loss. IT could be a combination of the muscle loss and dehydration. you may be just too weak after losing that much muscle.

Losing a large amount of weight in a short period of time is unhealthy for the body as it cause other problems.

Your blood sugar may be low and also you could be slightly dehydrated. A routine blood test from your doctor will not pick this up, to test your blood sugars you can a small needle test in your finger can be done.

Also your carb intake may be low which can also cause a feeling of weakness or lightheadedness.

What did you eat during them 45 days?

has your Dr checked you for low B-12?
even if you had blood test done, you still have to be tested for the B-12.
but usally low B-12 will make you feel tired no energy, and it will make you feel lightheaded..dizzy at times and throw your equal-librum off.
and sometimes it will make you feel tingling in your fingers and legs.
