cellulite and weight loss

I have lost a considerable amount of weight and I have cellulite on my upper legs and upper arms, has anyone found anything to help with this?

Re: cellulite and weight loss

Doing a light cardio and weight program will tone those areas, slight increase in your protein intake will encourage lean muslce mass which will also help.

You can also buy skin creams which contain natural colagen which encourages the skin to regain its elasticity once again, you will never totally get rid of cellulite but you can reduce it.

Re: cellulite and weight loss

I'm getting a series of massages called Lyposage. I have only had 5 of them so far and there are 18 but it is definitely working. It hurts like mad though!! It really shouldn't be called a massage. But I am 5'5" and 125 lbs and have cellulite. So it's not just heavy people that get it--if your going to get it your going to get it but these massages do get rid of it!!

Re: cellulite and weight loss

Seriously, no matter what my weight, even when I was extremely thin, I've always had it to some degree, except one time in my life when I had virtually none. That was when I had only 10-12% fat on my body, was lifting weights, working out like crazy, and I mean MAJOR weights. I also was a trainer in a gym at the time. The only way to 'get rid' of cellulite is to reduce the body fat. That's all cellulite is, lumps of fat under the surface of your skin. The more you have, the worse it looks. Sad, but true.
