I've done the Slim fast diet twice and I lost weight both times. However, it's not a realistic lifestyle and as soon as I went off it both times, I gained the weight back.
I USE SLIM FAST, TOO. I LOST WEIGHT WITH IT THE TIMES I USED IT, BUT YOU DO GAIN IT BACK IF YOU STOP. NOW I JUST MAINTAIN A GOOD HEALTHY DIET, AND EXCERSING PROGRAM. I STILL LIKE TO DRINK A SLIM FAST IN THE MORNING BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE TO EAT BREAKFAST. IT DOES WORK, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE ON IT FOREVER TO MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT.
I did well on Slim Fast about 17 years ago but not since. I do love their snack bars, though. The other week a tried their Chocolate/Caramel snack bars and I ate the whole box in 30 minutes. They're so small, you can stuff the entire bar in your mouth all at once and not even realize you've scarfed down all seven of them in one sitting.
Ive done Slimfast twice and lost weight onit but its hard work and you always feel hungry and you do tend to put some weight back on even if you eat healthy after stoping with the shakes.
I much prefer to get the 5lb (Vanilla, Orange Creamcicle, Strawberry, etc) Jar of "Isolated Whey Protein" mix from GNC, or Vitamin World--doesn't matter what brand, for $35--makes 72 servings. You mix it w/fat free milk and throw in a packet of Splenda--it tastes AWESOME. AND it's 1g of fat, 2g carbs, and 23 g of protein per serving, 250 cal WITH the milk!!!
WAY cheaper than Slimfast, loaded with vitamins and Amino Acids--and I like the taste better.
I've done it and weened myself off of it. I did 2 meals each day for 6 weeks, then started to eat something for lunch that was comparable in the intake on calories and nutrion. Then the same with breakfast. I haven't had a shake in 4 weeks and have lost another 8 pounds. I am down 35 pounds in all!!
