| Re: Weight loss help needed, please
Hi,
To lose the fat, any cardio will work, especially for at least half-an-hour, most days of the week. Start out slowly; don't burn yourself out. Even if you just walk for half-an-hour at an elevated pace.
There's not way to lose from certain areas of the body. You have to just lose overall.
Good foods to eat: fruits, veggies, whole grains (rice, quinoa, barley, oatmeal, etc.), whole wheat bread (not more than 2 slices per day), raw organic almonds, boiled eggs (especially organic cage-free, not more than 1 per day on average), avocado, nonfat dairy (yogurt), only small amounts of meats. Don't eat foods with refined sugar, and really try to limit foods made with white flour, like white rolls or pasta.
Drink water all throughout the day. Drink only water and hot or iced tea (no sugar or other sweetener and no juice nor soda.)
What helps me is cutting out junk foods that don't really matter (like if I don't really care whether I want it-- it's just there. Like donuts at work), and if I really want it, I go ahead and have it, but a small piece only.
Also, make as many small changes as you can, such as: mustard instead of mayo on a sandwich, salad instead of fries at a restaurant, salsa instead of butter on a baked potato, fruit instead of chips as your snacks, etc.
They also say getting a full 8 hours of sleep every night is supposed to help with weight loss.
