Pickles

So, some brands of pickles claim to have 0 calories. How is that possible? Its just a cucumber!! Even though cucumbers have very few calories...I still don't understand how it can be the same food, just prepared differently, and magically it has no calories! WHAT?

Re: Pickles

They do have calories. If you check the labels, it's probably something like 2 slices of pickles per serving so they can get the calories down so low. I think my helf pickles have something like 15 calories. Of course, the calories aren't what you have to worry about with pickles. It's the sodium!

Re: Pickles

Anything very low in calories can post as 0 calories based on the serving size. Look at that butter spray. It says 0 per serving. But there really are calories in it.

Re: Pickles

Thanks guys, that makes more sense...according to serving size, the calories aren't enough to be noted! Got it! Thanks

Re: Pickles

That's right.

I think the LAW states that anything with LESS than 5 calories can be called ZERO calories.

There really are few better diet snacks than pickles...and you can find them low sodium if you search.
