| Re: go to gym and gain weight?
Are you actually gaining FAT? That's an important distinction to make... the goal of "weight loss" is a giant fallacy. Losing weight is easy -- it's easy to shed water weight and muscle mass. The goal should be FAT LOSS. If you're gaining weight (muscle), but losing fat, then you're on the right track.
Also, don't be discouraged -- it's only been two weeks! I know it feels like forever, but did it take you two weeks to put the weight on? Probably not -- it probably took at least a few months, if not several years. Aim for 1 lb. of fat loss per week... it's better to lose 4 lbs. of fat per month, permanently, than say 10 lbs per months of mostly water and muscle, temporarily.
Get some skinfold calipers and a soft measuring tape to measure your body fat percentage, as well as inches gained/lost in waist, hips, bust etc. Body fat and inches -- not weight! -- are the numbers that matter.
