| Re: Belly Fat
Crunches do help some, but they are not the cure. I've found they mostly stengthen your core, which is a good thing, but they don't so much flatten you out always. I've found doing all my exercises while keeping belly button pulled in and my abs taught helps. This constantly works your abs so you don't need to spend as much time on crunches. It also avoids the build up of muscle memory in your abs. Also, as I noted in another post, eating much smaller portions helps. If you eat three bigger meals in a day, they just kinda sit there till they get processed, pushing your tummy out. In addition, there are many other types of ab exercises other than crunches. Try lying flat on your back and holding your feet just barely above the ground. Or try getting on your stomach, and holding yourself up and flat on your toes and elbows, keeping forearms on the ground. Hold in your stomach while doing this.
