| Re: Udo's Oil
It's a source of ALA, alpha-linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid. It is mostly flax oil with sunflower and sesame making up the bulk of the rest.
You can get the same thing from 2 Tbsp. Canola Oil at a teeny fraction of the cost...but your requirements are FAR less than the 2 Tbsp. that UDO recommends.
Remember: 2 tablespoons of ANY oil adds about 250 calories to your diet, so it will make weight loss that much harder. Oils are not an aid to weight loss.
My opinion: UDO'S OIL is a ripofff.
If you are going to add an oil for cardiac health, make it 1 teaspoonful of fish oil...less than 50 calories and all the Omega-3's you need, and the RIGHT kind.
