Need reassurance

Ok guys...I need some reassurance from you guys and gals who have lost weight and kept it off....I lost about 50 pounds last year by cutting my calories to between 1200-1500 per day, laying off the sweets, fried foods, etc., making the healthiest choices possible and trying to eat something appx. every 3 hours to keep my metabolism up. If I continue to do this and drink half my body weight in water (if I don't drown first) and walk at least a mile a day, the weight has got to eventually keep coming off, is this correct? Just for the record, I am a somewhat sedentary female (except for the walking) exercise is hard due to previous back issues, but walking is fine, I still need to lose appx. 75 pounds...Will this continue to work do you think? I just need reassurance that I am doing it the right way....I have a history of yo yo dieting, so I can lose faster, but choose not to.....thanks a bunch! ST
