Hi Myranda, When you start cruising the kitchen you should cruise right out the door and go around the block. You will be so proud of yourself you wont' want to snack when you get back. If you need to keep your hands busy try sudoku puzzles, crosswords, crochet/knitting..... you get the idea. Maybe even brush your teeth. Then you wont' want to eat. Maybe chew gum..
I'd do as suggested and try to find a replacement. Anything that keeps your hands busy is good! Or you can just drink some water. Sometimes I find that drinking water keeps me from eating snacks if I'm not truly hungry. For those times when you are hungry and need a healthy snack, try to eat something light, like 100 calorie popcorn or baby carrots. I also love to chew sugar free gum. There are so many good flavors out there that you won't want to spit it out to eat a snack. Also, there are sugar free hard candies that are very low in calories!
