weight loss after baby

OK, so I am very overweight, but I only gained like 25 lbs during my pregancy, and lost all of it in 2 weeks. So now I am trying to lose weight, while breastfeeding. I know I need to be careful with that, but when I joined a weight loss website, which just helps track weight loss and has a food journal, it said that I can eat 2725 calories a day. I dont think I eat that much now! So, I do not think my milk will suffer. I also have a thyroid disease, which is part of the reason why I am so overweight. It was undiagnosed for 6 years, and I just kept gaining weight and no one could figure out why even after having my thyroid checked. So, I am going to start this journey, of attempting to lose 80 lbs by January. I have no unrealistic goals, and I am going to try to lose 2 lbs a week. My big issue is, all of the skin left over from my pregnancy...whats going to happen when I start losing the weight? I can already tell what is extra skin, and what is fat. I am not sure what to do about it.

Hi Fruitloop

Incedentally I have been looking for a healthy weight loss programme for myself and I have sort of stumbled onto one that can help all sorts of people becasue they take you as an individual (blood tests and look at medical side as well) The lady I spoke to said they do plans for pregnancy and breastfeeding as well (i remember this because my firends preggie and I know she wants to watch her weight). I am expecting all the information to come through to me soon, so I'll let you know what they say!

Oh - thats why i mentioned it because they say that the skin tightens and firms so you're not left with loads of folds!!
