Can you help a mum make a plan of action

Hi,

I am trying for my 2nd baby (my 1st is 20 months now). I work full time, the rest of my life with baby, still part time breastfeeding. When I was preg 1st time I put on 21kgs, mostly fluid based. I am now 90kg!!!, 5ft 6, 36 yrs old. Always been a big girl but....

I need some advice on realistic changes I can make to my life, lifestyle, safe ones, since I'm trying for a baby. It is not possible to completely change, cant go to a gym 5 days a week, etc... but maybe if you can recommend e.g. 5 top tips to help me kick start a healthier me?

broodygirl,

If you work full time and then take care of your baby, you're probably getting just about all the exercise you need (assuming you are on your feet a good part of the time at work).

Here are my 5 top tips:

1) Eat natural whole foods as much as possible.

2) Drink plenty of water.

3) Eat a wide variety of colorful fruits and vegetables that are nutrient dense.

4) Avoid eating too many starchy foods like, white potatoes, corn, white bread and other baked goods made with white flour and refined sugar.

5) Avoid foods that are high in saturated fat and don't overdo the good fats either.
