Old Lowcarber

I am new here but old to the lowcarb life. I lost alot of weight when I first started. I have keeped it off for 6 yrs now, but I never got down to my goal weight. I have been at a stand still for a long time. Is my body too used to this way of life, or should I try something new?

The low carb diet may have reduced your calorie intake enough to get down to your current weight and maintain it there. Also, have you been exercising? If not, you may have lost a lot of muscle, which reduces your metabolism and is generally less healthy (there is at least one academic study that found that weight loss is unhealthy, but fat loss is healthy).
