Just wondering. Has anyone tried the new diet pill called Patentlean? There was a segment on the nightly World News on CBS Wednesday night and an article in my local paper. They have it at CVS and Eckerd drug stores here. They can't keep the stuff on the shelves! This stuff is supposed to be a MAJOR break-through. If it's so good, and so popular, why haven't I heard of it before? I went to 6 stores today, and they were all sold out. I'm gonna keep trying until I find some, and will try it out and let everyone know! Maybe this is what we've all been waiting for!
Hmmm i never heard of it, and just did a quick search, and it's your typical ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin stack, but with DHEA?! DHEA is a male hormone pre-cursor... so would increase your testosterone. Am i correct? If so, i wouldn't think this would be a good supplement at all for women. For men on the other hand, i'm very interested... but definitely not for women if i'm understanding this correctly.
Here's a nice link on DHEA

Personally, i'm going to give this a shot... i haven't done an ECA stack in a long time, but this is very interesting. I definitely wouldn't recommend using this long-term, but i'm going to give this a shot for 3 weeks or so and see how it goes. Just remember, DHEA is a sex hormone pre-cursor, so you're fooling around with your hormones here... but i've done much worst things in my life, and i don't plan on using this more than a cycle or two. I just need to lose a couple of % of bodyfat.
Still though, i don't know how safe DHEA is on women...
Well, I got my patentLEAN and started today. I feel so positive about it, that I think that is giving me more motivation. Hardcore, I did some research on DHEA, and I think it really is good for men and women. I took it back in my 20's, but stopped because I read somewhere that is for women with menopause. I'm only 34, but now I'm having premenopausal symptoms. Anyway.....one site I came upon said that DHEA can rev up your sex drive! It seems to have a lot of good benefits. And this pill is derived from all natural sources. No Ephedra or caffeine! And you only take 2! a day! The pills are also really small and not like those big "horse-pill" vitamins that leave icky tastes in your mouth. I'm really excited about this. I'm 5 ft 1, and have always had a battle with my weight. Right now I'm only 10-15 lbs. overweight, but as short as I am, that much weight looks like 20 lbs. or more. I've been on every fad diet there is. I never had any luck doing a low-fat diet...even with exercise. I did the Atkins diet and worked out for a solid year, and had amazing results. I "fell off the wagon" though, and started eating normal. Well....maybe not normal, just not healthy. I just got so sick of chicken! I also quit working out. No reason why. Just got lazy. Today, I'm starting back! I'll keep you all posted on how this goes. I really bad when it comes to food, so I hope this stuff works. I think I'm back in the right mind-frame now to make it work.
(Sorry for the long posting. I'm a talker! )
Hi, Trinket. Well, I am on Wellbutrin so I did a little research before I started taking them. There is not any interactions with the two, supposedly. (I just don't know 100%.) On the patentlean website, it says it doesn't have any interactions with any drugs. The pills cost between 26 and 30 bucks. You take only 2 a day, and there are only 30 in a bottle. So this is only a 15 day supply. May be a little costly, but shoot, I've tried everything else. There's no telling how much money I've spent over the years on weight loss products! I started the pills Saturday. On Saturday and Sunday, I wasn't very hungry at all. And that is so unlike me! I usually have the urge to snack all day! On Monday, Memorial Day, I wasn't hungry, but ate a whole lot more than I should have (burgers, hot dogs, and HOMEMADE ice cream! Yummmmm!). Now today is PMS Day. So I've had some unbearable cravings. The brochure that came with the pills said it may take up to 8 weeks to really see a difference. I'm going to stick with it and see how it goes. Oh, by the way, I had tried Hydroxycut and Xenedrine (not at the same time!), and I didn't like how it made me feel while being on Wellbutrin. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. I've been fighting my weight all my life. I sure hope this works. I don't like having to take any kind of pills, but I just don't have any willpower at all.
I tried patentlean a couple months ago, like you said, a two week supply. i didnt see any difference physically, in my appetite, nothing. hope you have better luck.
Thanks for the response Mel. My husband is saying the same thing. We've only been on it for a week now. I almost wondered when I saw it on the news and read about it in the paper if they had paid for all that. You know, they said bottles were flying off the shelf and they couldn't keep it in stock. And the next day, bottles WERE flying off the shelves after people saw the ad. It almost seemed like a gimmick to get people to buy it. Because I had never heard of it before that. I'm still going to keep taking it and see how it goes. I still get hungry, but I'm not wanting to eat ALL day like I was. Before, I had absolutely no control over food. I'm 5ft 1, and weigh 128 lbs. The way I had been eating, I should weigh a whole lot more! All my weight goes below the waist-lower tummy, hips and thighs. Ughhhh. Got to get in the gym. I think that's the only way.
Trinket, I don't want to bust your bubble or anything, but.....the 1st 2 weeks that I was on Wellbutrin were absolutely wonderful. I thought I had found a miracle drug, a happy pill. I even told my sister about it and she got on it (to quit smoking-it's also the same thing as Zyban). Anyway, I didn't have any cravings, and I had way more energy, although I had insomnia. But after 2 weeks, I guess reality set in and everything went back to normal. I asked my Doc about it, and he said that happens sometimes. But I'm still on it. I guess it helps me deal with a lot of crap I'm going through, but the euphoria I had at first is not there like it was. But I think different drugs affect different people in different ways. So maybe it WILL work for you. Just like Prozac works for some, but not for others. Know what I mean? Let me know if it keeps working for you. I hope it does.
