Both liposuction and tummy tucks can be pretty risky. With lipo you use a lot of blood (which is why they'll only do so much at a time) and there can be complications. I actually knew somebody that had a tummy tuck years ago. It was a worse case scenario-- the stitches (or staples, whatever) burst and he had to be rushed to the hospital. Both operations have been successfully, but I'd think it's better to actually lose the weight by more or less natural means. (I'm about to try a high-fiber, low-cal diet myself.)
