I have been reading all the responses about hydroxy cut and it seems like one shouldnt be taking it. I just started taking 2 caps twice a day for energy and weight loss purposes. I used to get so hungry that would eat anything I could find, every few hours. Since, I have been on hydroxycut, I havent been eating more than I should , especially I can not worry abt junk food since it doesnt apeal me anymore.
The problem is that sometimes I feel kinda dizzy and i can feel my heart beating really fast which never happened before. Now, I am not sure if its bcuz of the pill or bcuz i havent been getting enough sleep lately.I have been sleeping like 3,4 hours a day for the past week or so(this is wat happens when u work 12 hrs a day and go to school full time). Well, since our schedule at work has changed to normal shifts now,I am debating abt whether i should stop immediately taking the pill or wait and see if me getting enough sleep helps my headaches and dizziness. I would like u guys to respond to wat u think abt this. Now, I already know ephedra isnt really good for u but since I am only taking 4 caps a day, I figured I should be okay. So, please no lectures. Just ur experiences, good or bad.
PS:i know i talk a lot
I have been taking Xenadrine, which is very similar, although I've never taken Hydroxycut. This is what ephedra can do. I know on Xen, it says to start with one pill twice a day to see how your body reacts, and then move up to two pills twice a day. I'm not sure if H has the same recommendations?
It sounds like it's probably your problem though, and I'm sure lack of sleep is not helping. I found that if I eat while taking the pill, I don't feel those effects. Have you tried that? Or do you take it on an empty stomach?
If you are experiencing those types of symptoms, I would stop taking it. I do take Hydroxycut (2 pills, twice a day - 4 pills total). I also have been using it for months. At the beginning I took 1 pill twice a day for about the first month and a half. When my body became more tolerant towards the drug, I increased the dosage. There is caffeine in it and that could be causing some of the symptoms if you're not used to a lot of caffeine.
I would stop taking it or lower the dosage. If you are having problems sleeping and you are taking 2 pills 3 times a day (which is not recommended on the bottle!) - I would recommend to take one in the morning, right before breakfast and one before lunch (2 pills total - a day). I wouldn't recommend to take a pill after 2pm (that might keep you awake at night).
I know it's tempting to take more pills than recommended but that is when the pill becomes harmful to your health. It clearly states on the bottle to start off slowly (2 pills total a day). You know your body better than anyone else and from your message above, you know something is wrong. People have died by taking this drug correctly and I am sure more people have passed on by abusing this drug. Please follow the instructions on the bottle, talk to a doctor, or find an alternative drug to help you with your weight loss goals.
I don't know why so many people have problems taking this stuff. If you have any of the symptoms on the back DO NOT take it. Do not overdose and take your last dosage at least 6 hrs. before you go to sleep. That is probably why you are not getting any sleep, taking it too late. Do you work out at all? Try working out in the evening to help it ware off. I took it for 2 months and lost 20 lbs. I went off of it for a month and got back on and it feels great. Your heart beat will go up and you will notice it. However it should not hurt your chest or be really bothersome.
I took Metabolife for several years and NEVER had any problems. A few months ago, I started taking Hydroxycut. I did very good the first few weeks. All of a sudden I woke up one morning and felt terrible. I had headaches and my chest was hurting pretty bad. I took my blood pressure and it was 153/104. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE had high blood pressure. I knew that it contained ephedra, just like the metabolife but I never compared exactly how much more it had. Metabolife has 15 mg ephedra and 40 mg caffeine per pill. Hydroxycut has 20 mg ephedra and 200 mg caffeine per pill. No wonder I was having those symptoms. Now, I am on blood pressure medicine trying to get my blood pressure down. By the way, I am only 34 years old and am not really overweight. i just have about 15 pounds to loose. My advise to you is to just be extra careful. I would suggest stop taking those pills.
I would try cutting the dose first....if that doesn't work, then get rid of them. Take them back to the store you got them from and tell them they made you feel sick. There is a money back guarantee at most stores.....hope this helps!
U guys are so cool!!!!Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking about lowering my dose;instead of taking 2 caps twice a day I was thinking abt one cap twice a day. I dont know after all the replies. My moms family has a history of high blood pressure and although I have always had normal bp, I m still worried about the side affects. Hell,I am only 22!!!I dont want any of those long term ailments. But I would really be interested in any info about any other appetite suppressants which are not harmful.
Also, the reason of not getting enough sleep is not hydroxycut;its just my lifestyle these days.Working 12 hrs a day AND going to school full time on top of that doesnt help out We are back on normal shifts though, so lets see wat happens. But I would really like to know abt any appetite suppressants if u guys know abt any.
THanks guys
No problem on the advice here--that's what we're for. To give our opinions, and advice.
I had luck with Dexatrim Natural before...you can get it without the caffine, and I am sure that's what you are reacting to. If you have a family history of high blood pressure, I wouldn't advise you to take ANY of these appetite supressants without supervision from your doc. GOOD LUCK!!!!! If you find something that works; let us know!! )
