I have taken chitosan for a while. I like it because it tends to keep me regular. I don't use any of the types with added supplements, just straight chitosan. Most of the studies do show that it is benefical for weight loss although as with any supplement you have to watch what you eat and exercise. It is not a license to "pig out" <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif"> I have never had any side effect at all and I tend to be very picky about what I take, if I take anything at all.
