Okay well I don't know if any of you remember me but I was the girl that was SO motivated to start the Atikins diet and lose lots of weight and blah blah blah, yeah well that motivation left me on the 3rd day. Anyways, I cheated...then I "cheated" the rest of week. Well I'm back into it and the dreaded 3rd day that I haven't been able to make it past, so I'm really determined to make it past today, but anyways, I just have a question for those Atkins veterans, about how long did it take for you to SMELL ketones, like in your pee and stuff? The book said that carbs don't stay in your body for more than 48 hours so I was all excited and expecting my body to go into ketosis today and I have still no sign of it...I'm gonna keep with it (hopefully) but this doesn't encourage me at all...it just makes me think that its not working.
*Another question, during Induction you can't have any fresh cheeses or farmers cheese, I didn't realize this and ate some Holland Smoked Cheese, only 1 slice...will this make a big difference? Like will it throw off the diet? I didn't really understand why I couldn't eat that cheese but eat other cheeses. If anyone would be so kind as to answer these questions for me that'd be great.
