I weighed myself Sunday morning and today- Thursday. I found out I gained 3 pounds! I don't understand this I have been eating well and even exercising more! I did drink some water and juice before I weighed myself today, but I don't understand how I GAINED weight after eating well and exercising MORE? Please help me because this weight gain is extremely discouraging
Plus, it depends WHEN you weighed yourself. Do you usually weigh yourself at the same time of day? Why not try weighing yourself Sunday morning when you get up, after you go to the bathroom, and have that be your day and time every week? Assuming that you don't already do that
It's common for weight to fluctuate throughout the day. Perhaps if you are not drinking as much water as you should, your body is retaining some water and can cause you to gain "weight".
If you're eating healthy and exercising, I wouldn't worry about the number on the scale.
I never weigh myself more than once a week -- there's no need to. Also, by doing that, you reinforce in your mind the idea that weight loss is quick and consistent.
Remember too, the "time of the month" has ALOT to do with it. (all you guys out there, don't bother reading! :-) If you're getting ready to menstruate, that can add quite a few pounds between lining and fluid retention. Weigh yourself 3 days after you start, and you should see a dramatic drop if you've been good. Good Luck!!
Well it's sunday and i have just weighed myself and no, I have not gained 3 pounds, but I did gain 2! I don't get it, I have minimized caloric intake significantly, yet since less than 900 calories a day is starvation I eat about 1100-1250 calories a day and I have been exercising everyday! People around me tell me I look much better and the weight gain can be muscle. But I do not trust the biased opinions of family and friends. Please anyone have any info on muscle gain? I know I'm not bigger but, these 2 pounds are seriously worrying me.
I do all kinds, cardio and stength training. I also have a lot of videos I do such as buns and abs of steel, toning with a toning cord, belly dancing, and I do my own modern dance at times as well. I want to start running/walking 3 miles a day as well as more swimming, but the videos and dancing are what I have been doing so far.
