whoo hooo i can't beleive this was I JUST at applebees
I had
NEW Low-Fat Grilled Whitefish with Mango Salsa (not available at all restaurants)
The distinctive fresh mango salsa atop this grilled fillet is sure to send your taste buds reeling with pleasure. Served on a bed of rice with fresh vegetables. Less than 5 grams of fat.
It was great! The fish was moist and tasty. It was rather spicy so you might want to tell them to tone it down unless you enjoy spicy food as much as i do , ( i pick the jalapeno slices off everyones nachos lol) they also tossed some of the same spice mixture on the lovely veggies ....ewww fish spices on veggies. That was dissappointing since they were nice ala dente cooked summer veggies so nice in May.
They have recently added some other lowfat choices to their menu <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">
the other site was not a restaurant site <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif">
Have a great holiday

You can always ask them to fix something for you that is "altered" from the menu. Ask for grilled chicken or fish - sauce on the side, no butter/oil, those kind of things. You'd be surprised how many restaurants will accomodate you that way. On more than one occasion, my dining companions have heard what I asked them to "whip up" and ordered it too. If you're self-conscious about it, call ahead during non-busy times and ask the manager what they can do...
ooh not if they have muscles marinara, (didn't check the site but i will later) I order an appetizer portion for dinner w/ a soup or salad if i'm really hungry.... the muscles and sauce with a couple of slices of unadorned italian bread.... yummm
and the calorie count is oh so small
