day 2 of weight loss (please come and tell me how this is for today and answer my ? )

Hi, once again im laying out what I ate today for the sake of seeing how im doing because alot of you guys know way more about this stuff than I do-please once again tell me how it looks: (thanks)
small bowl Special K ( 1/4 cup 2% milk)
2 small pieces (cubed) watermelon

Salad with fat free dressing
1/2 orange
1/2 cu***ber (small one)
Apple sauce (the little containers it was actually mango peach)

2 small sweet and sour meatballs (lean ground beef)
small bowl of lightly buttered pasta (no sauce) w/salt and pepper
1 cup of green beans

snack: rice cake = 65 cals

I have drank 5 glasses of water so far but It will be at least 9 by the end of the night and DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE OKAY TO HAVE ONE MORE CUP OF PASTA?! (cuz im still hungry).. or should I not?..thanks so much for the advice girls :P * oh yah and I walked for 35 minutes this morning*

pasta is not the best idea if your still hungry. try something else..a salad, piece of fruit celery sticks, carrots. carbs are not so good especially at night.
sounds to me like your not eating alot at all
also try to have your last thing to eat well before bed. that also helps.
good luck with the never ending diet issue!

Yeah.. That pasta is just loaded with carbs. Not very good later at night. Also, maybe try substituting the 2% milk for fat free (skim) milk. Just my $0.02 : )

The other poster is right - try to cut out butter entirely (as I'm trying to do - I've eaten it about three times in the last week). Pasta is good for lunch, but not so good for last thing at night, but the complex carbohydrates give u energy with few calories. Why don't you look into low-fat pasta sauces, I use one from tescos and is really yummy, as well as being ridiculously low in calories and fat!
good luck, and keep it going. Remember though, to team healthy eating with exercise and not to become too obsessed with dieting, otherwise you'll become anorexic or something, and thats DEFINATELY not healthy!!!!

rice cakes may seem healthy but they are a VERY high glycemic try and cut back on those, otherwise i think ur plan looks good <IMG SRC="">

You don't have to give up butter totally. You can still have the taste with no calories. I cook everything with butter flavored "Pam". Also... on potatoes and rice, etc... I use "I can't believe it's not butter" spray. There are a few other brands of these kinds of things out there... try a few and see which you prefer. :-)

Also... can I ask what kind of a diet you're trying to do? How much weight are you trying to lose? If you'd want to post your age, height, and weight, I can punch that into my computer program and tell you how many calories you can eat per day to be able to lose 1-2 pounds per week safely. You don't seem like you're eating much at all. All that water you're drinking is wonderful! I need to work on that more myself. :-)
