I was really happy on my last posts because I lost about 7 lbs in a week with Xenadrine, well this last monday a weight in my self and gained a few lbs back, it makes me crazy I don't know what happened, if my scale got broken or what? what can I do, I feel my efforts are not working,
can anyone please help me!!!!!!!!!I don't know what to think or do, I need support
I just don't know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!
[This message has been edited by C-blue (edited 06-19-2002).]
I know you only loose 1-2 lbs of real fat a week and the rest is just body fluids or excess water, but if you are still in a diet you keep losing not gaining, I been in a diet before and it always happens I lose the most in the first week (4 to 7lbs) and then a steady lost of 1-2 lbs a week, but this time was different, that's why i got so discourage
anyways, I am still looking for some support, I feel sad because I though I was going to make it this time.
i definitely know what your going through. 3 years ago i went from a size 8/9 to a size 18+. seemed like it happened over night. still to this day i can't figure out what made me gain that weight. i still ate the same as i had for years, but for some reason it just "got" me one day. i have tried so many diets.... nothing helps. i'll lose 5 to 15 pounds, and for some odd reason i'll gain it all back plus some. its been an endless battle for 3 years. i just recently started on a "new" diet pill. i actually thought it was working. 10 days i lost 9 pounds.... but i get on the scale today and i've gained 5 back. don't really know how, i've been doing all the same things i was when i lost. its an endless battle, and its so depressing. i don't know how many times i've cried myself to sleep, but nothing i do helps. people say exercise.... ok, well if your exercising and dieting but don't lose weight, what more can you do? my health is suffering so much because of how big i am, i hate myself sometimes. i feel so fat and ugly, and the way it seems i will never lose this weight. its very depressing, very discouraging! i hope you have better luck than i hav, but i just wanted to let you know i know how you feel. take care of yourself and God bless!
Start by drinking more water, walking in the morning, and work up to walking at night too. The water will eventually act as a good diretic. The only truly natural diretic there is. Cut down slowly of all caffine products, and alcohol. Eat something sweet or with alot of carbs.only once in 24 hrs it must be the same 3rd size portion as your low carb veg and the protein. And finish that within one hour, for the other times you eat. Eat leafy greens (try and get 2cups of this with the sweet meal) and low carb. veg.~~with at least a small amount of low fat protein(Poultry, fish, any seafood, accept shimp, high in fat, so only eat that once in a while.) But really this much info. alone will help keep you on track.
You won't feel as depressed if you increase your water. work up to 10 to 12 glasses a day. When your always getting rid of it, you know it time to increase it. You can figure that part out.LOL Gotta measuring cup. After awhile you can tell if your going enough. But to start with it's best to measure.
If your not swelling up at all. Take a 1/4 teas. mineral sea/salt, after drinking at least one quart of water.
It's actually 1/4 teas. of salt for every quart. But you work up to that.
Your're always watching if your swelling up. Then you decrease the minerl sea/salt. Then increase when the swelling is down, after that first quart.
This is a diff. type of salt. Nothing like the over the counter types.
They have a sea/salt w/iodine avail. that I've seen. We use this on our foods, instead of mortons table salt. (you need some iodine) But a good type mineral salt (health foods store or viamin shop) to replace electrolytes and replenish the salt in our bones, this allows water to enter where it could not with just water. Salt when get to wher you can take it, it's the softener to the system, where water penetrates deeper. I never used to drink it at all~~what a differance, not only is it good to help our bodies matabilize fats, but it's great on aches and pains, and depression cholesterol, some of the diets like for high blood pressure and asthma are very specific.
The book I read says many peoples first signs of depression is a lack of water supply in the body. We forget what it feels like to be thirsty! It's true...I never used to drink it till 770 days ago!
Here's the rule of thumb, drink at least one glass of water, 1/2 hour before your meal. This will aid digestion and send the message to the brain that the system doesn't need to overwork just to obsorb and matabilize your foods.
Gotta Run, Diana

Hello, I just wanted to say that Taking that Xenadrine can be real harmful to your health. The drug pretty much makes your heart beat faster to speed up your metabolism but once you get off it you will gain weight more than b4.
I knew some one who took that and lost weight and as soon as he got off it he gained more weight than b4!
In the long run it's best to not take any drugs if you want to keep the weight off.
It's better for your health.
I heard alot of Scary things about that so I never took it.
I'm more for weight watchers the points system. I can have what ever I want with in my points. IT WORKS! i'm not really a member but I got the books so I just write down what i eat and add the points.
Good luck to all of you : )
Are you also doing 15-30 minutes of physical activity atleast 3 days a week? Let me tell you, it does help and that may be something you might want to do in place of eating when you're feeling depressed. I tend to have a problem with emotional eating as well and know that I must ask myself if I'm really hungry and need this food or am I just eating to fill a void. That's something to think about during those times you feel discouraged.
Exercise does make a difference. It took me a few weeks, but I've lost 4 lbs. I drink more water and I've been watching what I eat these past few weeks. I work out 5 days a week doing cardio 3 days a week and weight training 2 days a week. I feel a lot better. Even on the days when I don't feel like exercising, I feel much better once I do it. I have dysthymia (chronic depression) for which I take medication, but the exercise also helps quite a bit.
Don't get too discouraged. It's easier said than done, but at weight watchers they always tell us that each day is a new day to get back on track. I'm here if you need someone to talk to. I know how it feels to be discouraged.
Hi everyone thank you for taking the time answering my post. I kept my regular diet and I tried not to think about it that much for the last week. today I got on the scale and am back to the original lost of 7lbs, plus 1 more lb, so am really happy. I will start adding a walking routine because I haven't being doing any exercise activity. I do drink plenty of water and I am taking Xenadrine rfa, I don't have any side effects I being really careful to take the pills as is posted on the bottle not exceeding dosege and not taking caffeine while on the pill. Over all I feel the support and advice some of you give is what has help me the most
I know it gets frustrating. For me when I started I knew that a big weightloss in one week was water. But I did not care. It made me feel good to just see that the number had gone down. I think it is a girl thing. LOL But, just keep at. If you fall get right back up. Just keep your focus the best you can.
Thank you for caring, I am just waiting to finish my first bottle to stay off for two weeks, then I am going back, I have no family history of high blood pressure, and I don't suffer from it either, for me my biggest problem is I love food and specially sweets, but hopefully I will lose the weight by the end of this year cause I want to make a life time change, not just a quick diet from which I always fail.
And I am posting my progress in another post called (join the group) I think is going to keep me motivated.
Have a great day !!!!!!!!!
C-Blue I know how you are feeling. I have 2 girls & while pregnant with the first I gained 61 pounds. With the second I gained 21 pounds. Being home all day with my girls I gained even more weight. I have struggled through the diets. Atkins, cabbage soup, sugar busters just to name a few. And as for diet pills, oh my I've spent SO much money trying to find something that works. A car hit me when I was in high school & it messed my body up pretty bad. So I wanted to find something that would help curb my appetite & give me energy to help me loss weight since my exercising is limited. I know the feeling all to well of the joy to step on the scale & see a lose, then to gain it back again. So far Iíve lost 35 lbs and 30 inches. Remember that NOT everything works for everyone. What works for one person may or may not work for another. Be sure to drink plenty of water. Itís not only good for us, but it helps flush out the toxins in our bodies. Be sure to do some kind of exercise, even if itís a little walk down the street or in your home, or lifting weights. When we loss weight & donít exercise at all our bodies get flabby & we donít want that.
Best of luck to you!!

Hey C-Blue I hope all is going well with you and your journey. I have gained way too much myself after my car accident I just sat around and didn't do anything. Boy did I pay for that. Now I am on a journey myself towards weightloss. Since last year I have lost 20 lbs. I am taking it slow because I want to make sure I keep it off. My husband and I started working out now 5 days a week and it has helped a lot. I highly recommend exercise because even if the weight doesn't go as fast as you'd like you feel better about yourself and release stress.
I do need some advice though, please, someone. I know now I am weight training and doing aerobics that I need to make sure I eat enough so I have energy to exercise, but I don't want to eat too much. The keeping track of calories and stuff does not work for me. Lately I have not been hungry but I have made myself eat because I don't want to black out like I just about did the other day. Any advice?
God Bless you all,
Angel
Hi Angelhansen congrats on your lost of 20 lbs. You said you are not hungry lately, but you are exercing alot well remember that eating too much as well as not eating enough is bad for the metabolism. What I do is a buy protein shakes or any other type of shake that contains vitamins, I specially like the ones made of soy because they are the most healthy ones. When I am in a hurry or just not hungry I'll drink that, some people say you should eat food instead of drinking liquid meals, but I think is better than not eating anything at all, plus the majority are not fattening, and there are allot of bars too. Make a search on it see what you find and what is more convinient for you, Also remember you can eat a piece of fruit or veggie.
Hope I was of some help, keep up the good work
and have a great day
