Just decided instead of taking any pills or special diets, that I'de eat right and excercise.
Has anyone here done that? I am just going to eat differently. Cut out the junk, oh yeah....everyone says WATER WATER WATER?!
I have a hard time drinking water, but I am trying!

My goal weight is 110
Currently at 150
5"1 height(I am a chunker) ha ha lol
Many of the changes that I made were "oh duh" kind of changes. Like I stopped eating fast food for breakfast almost every single day. The meal that I like from McDonalds (two breakfast burritos, hashbrowns, Sprite) has something like 900 calories in it. After breakfast, I only had about 600-700 calories for the rest of the day!! I dropped regular soda from my diet and tried to drink only one diet a day. And I replaced that liquid with water, OJ and milk (one cup of OJ, one cup of milk, the rest water). I stopped eating (for the most part anyway) things like candy bars and snack cakes. I started measuring out single portions and counting calories.
On top of that, I added about an hour of exercise a day in. I started out with 30 minutes and worked up to an hour (two half hour sessions).
It is possible. Just remember that changes that you make to lose weight have to be lifetime changes to avoid regaining the weight. I learned that the hard way. I am trying to get back to no regular soda and no vending maching junk, etc. again now so I can take the weight off (again).
Yes, that is exactly how I am doing it now..it works!! I did start off taking a thermogenic but I no longer do ...only a multi vitamin now..completely changed the way I eat and drink, added tons of water and I exercise 60-90 minutes per day 7 days a week( mostly in the form of walking ona treadmill) I have just recently added dumbbells to my routine to help work my upper arms and shoulders..I must say I am really enjoying it! So far I have lost 40 lbs and counting..gone from a sz 22/24 to size 14.Good luck!!
Emily,
Good luck!! Stay with the logical changes and it will work. Like Chelle said tho, keeping it off it where the challange comes. I am exactly in your boat, 5'1 150 lbs. My goal weight is 125, but I am very muscular. I have gone up and down with my weight for the last 10 years and can't lose it via diet and excersise, but eventually (years), the weight slowly returns as I return to a more lax mindset!! I hate that! So here I go again! On the stairclimber, eating lean meat and salad, and of course no super sized fast food meals, or soda. <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif">

I like to add lemon to my water for a change. Also, I was a BIG soda drinker, so I also get flavored seltzer for those "cheat" meals when I HAVE to have something bubbly, like when we have pizza...
I also like the sparkling mineral waters, as well...
I really want to lose weight and I have about at least 40 pounds to shed off. So, about one week ago I started eating healthy whereby I cut off completely fast food, deep fried stuff, fatty meat and junk food. Switched to oats, whole meal bread, steam fish, fruits and vegetables etc. Of course, I drink loads of water. Started dance aerobics and stomach training as well for about 1 1/2 hours a day.
So far it has been great coz I feel much lighter now. I just need the determination to carry on. This is not my first attempt to losing weight. *sigh*
And to read that some of you actually lost 70 lbs and 40 lbs amazes me. Wow! How did u folks do it? How long did it take you?
Being over weight has always been a problem since I was child. I hate being fat. I really do.
