How many carbs should we eat if we want to be on a low carb diet...not the Atkins...just a low carb-low fat...basically I am eating a lot of fruit and some meats for protein and a little fat...but all in all just cut everything way back...I have lost 25lbs...without paying much attention to carbs and I was just wondering!!!
Have those of you eating say 60-150 carbs been losing steadily? I went on Atkins and lost 23 pounds from Feb.25th until now. But I have been off for about 3 weeks. I can't seem to find enough variation for my taste at such a low level of carbs. I was up to about 30 and still losing. I just wondered if you could continue to lose at the higher amount.
I don't really count the carbs in leafy greens, and different kinds of veggies. I don't think they have a signifigant affect on blood sugar whatsoever when I have tested with ketostix. So, there is a lot of variation there.
I do a couple of days of low carb, followed by a day of higher carbs, and calories, to replenish leptin levels, for long term weight loss.
