PCOS is believed to be associated with or caused by insulin resistance. Any diet that will lower your insulin levels will likely improve your PCOS. A diet low in carbohydrate (sugars, sweets, soft drinks, bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, etc.) is the best approach to lower insulin levels and improve insulin resistance. Dr. Atkins or Protein Power are a couple of low carbohydrate diet plans worth looking into.
