ugh! Pictures are the worst. My birthday was last month and I was feeling good and I was totally loving the outfit I had on....then my mom got pictures back. Good lord it was awful. And of course I had to be eating cake and ice cream in the picture. Why does it always work out that way? I mean, I know I didn't look horrible, but I didn't look like how I felt.
Cameras should be outlawed!
I know...you are so right. I quit smoking a year ago and thought I was the same size as when I smoked. I looked at myself in the mirror and thought I was still a size 3....but when I tried to put my rear in those pants, they would not go above my hips....Funny. I really and truly thought I was smaller than what I was...Hallucinating...LOL
Pictures!!! Are you kidding - I always run when it's my family. I work in a department that creates a brochure with everyone’s picture in it. I have tried for years to be sick/absent the day photos are taken but I always get suckered into showing up. I think I would rather have my picture taken than using my vacation hours. I usually never look at the brochure because ignorance is bliss!! The only pictures I have in my home are at least a decade old and a lot smaller...
lol, i agree with robert. i hate pictures. i try my best to avoid any and all pictures, but the ones that are managed to be "snuck in", oh my God! I can't even begin to explain what I look like... can anyone say wide load...lol. pictures are definitely the worst!
Pictures! Yikes! And sometimes mirrors can do it. And sometimes trying on a bathing suit and wondering what the heck that designers were thinking does too!(that's what got me! But I don't hide. In fact, I am an actress and I love the camera. (And the camera loves me, oh yeah BABY!) Acting is my passion and I don't let my weight get in the way. But I think like this: Either you let everyone know you think you're fat by hiding from the camera, or you be brave and face it and no one will ask you why you're in front because you look like a cow! And no one wants to be a wimp! So, just face your fears and be brave!
I've had that happen to me with pictures also. I love taking pictures but I'm not the type that likes to be in them. When I got back my pictures from my birthday and a graduation party, I was beyond belief at how I looked. I do think we see ourselves differently then those around us do, but still..yuck! LOL I have began taking pictures from a scrapbook and placing them in order from last fall up until now and I have lost some weight, but I love seeing myself get smaller. I don't feel as though I have lost anything but I did notice a difference since last August. I continue to try losing weight and the pictures are definitely motivating. Good luck! =)
Ugh! I recently saw a picture of myself that a coworker took and I was horrified. My big fat double chin was so ugly.
Yet, I'm not trying any harder to get rid of it. I know the key for me is exercise, but I always just end up sitting on my butt instead. You'd think seeing a picture of myself that made me feel sick to my stomach would motivate me.
I just got back from my parents house this weekend....and I took some pictures...I do not know what they will look like...but I am dreading it. But I will keep ya posted on how they turned out.
