How are you dealing with weight loss right now?

Hi guys! I'm Phoebe, just turned 15. On May 1st I weighed 160 lbs. and yesterday, when I weighed myself, I was 140 lbs. It was a wonderful feeling since it means that I've lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks. I still have a lot of work to do since my doctor says since I'm 5 ft. 2 I need to lose at least another 20 or 30 to be at a healthy weight, but I was wondering if anybody else was at "midpoint" and how you all are doing right now with your diets/fitness plans/magic potions/whatever...

Congratulations. I am also at a midpoint and am doing fine. 235 (6 foot tall male) down to 205, while I'd like to get down to 180 or so. (#'s aren't important)Keep up the good work.

Re: How are you dealing with weight loss right now?

Hmm... Does 3 weeks seems like a very fast time to lose 20 lbs to anyone else??

I would hope that you are losing the weight safely and not starving yourself or anything. And make sure that after you lose the weight you want, that you stick to it. The only bad thing about losing weight fast is that you will gain it back twice as fast when you stop.

So.. I beg you to make sure you are eating and doing things that you can do for the rest of your life!!

Congrats on the weight loss!!

Re: How are you dealing with weight loss right now?

20 pounds in a few weeks is a lot of weight, I used to be really over weight. Weighed 240, went to 165 within 4 months. I pretty much starved myself and did stupid things to lose that much weight. I ate only maybe 1000 calories a day, but on top of that I was weight training and doing cardio 7 days a week. It was a great feeling to not be fat for the first time in my life, but I got really sick by doing it that way. So make sure you're eating plenty of food, or before you know it, you'll be taking a trip to the hospital. BTW, good job on the weight loss.
