I need an afternoon boost!

I get up about 7AM. I work out (lite aerobics) from 7:30-8. Around noon, I could fall asleep standing up, I'm that beat! Any tips for an afternoon boost? Thanks!

Unless your on a low carb diet (I'm not), I would drink a Red Bull, or another brand like it. It really gives me that burst of energy I need for the rest of the day. I drink it about 5pm and then go workout and the effects are normally gone by bedtime about 10pm. Any other Red Bull drinkers out there? If so, how do you do on it?

Pretty much for the last 3 years I was experiencing the same type of afternoon exaustion. It would start around 3:30-4:00, and last about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. When I started looking into the Atkins diet, all the info I read mentioned this as "crashing" after too much carbs. I went on Atkins, and as soon as I eliminated carbs, the exaustion disappeared. I had energy ALL DAY LONG. I couldn't believe it. If your carb intake is high, try reducing it/eliminating all refined products for a few days to see how you feel The 1st 3 days are tough, as you're body's going thru addiction withdrawl, but then it's a piece of cake.
