What is rapid weight loss exactly? I have lost 5 kg in 3 weeks, first two weeks i was exercising and i pretty much have been dieting everyday...Is this normal? ı heard that the most you should lose in a month is 5kg! I haven't been exercising for the past week...Someone please helpi I want to know if this counts as rapid weight loss
5 kg per month is one possible rule of thumb. But you can also use the 2% rule: Don't lose more than 1 - 2% of your body weight in one week. So if you've lost 5kg in 3 weeks, it should be ok, as long as you weighed at least 84 kg to start with.
(I am assuming you needed to lose at least 5 kg.)
Keep exercising, to make sure that you lose fat and not muscle. Assuming your diet isn't too strict, the weight loss should slow down as you approach your ideal weight.
I weighed about 82KG. So that makes 5KG in 3 weeks too much doesn't it? I'm just worried why I have lost so much in such a small amount of time, considering out of the 3 weeks 1 week went by without exericse
Well, it probably just means your diet is a little too strict and you need to eat a bit more. For young men, it doesn't take all that much dieting to lose weight.
I would count your daily calories and add a few hundred more. You don't want to be hungry all the time, and you need some protein along with your veggies.
It's like driving a little over the speed limit. Just slow down, and you should be fine.
I suppose I could be eating a little bit more, but I wouldn't really count it as strict. I'll try and eat more calories and see how it goes, thanks for your help!
