Need to lose pounds.

I started at 310 and I'm not down to 302. I've only been exercising for about one week and maybe 5 days. I'd like to reach my previous weight of 260 when I was working. I have been using the Elliptical and according to the device on the machined, I do 2 miles at about 8.0 MPH. I honestly don't know how accurate that machine is though. I eventually would like to do more than two miles, but right now I am taking it easy. I drink pretty much only water, expect when I have some cereal for breakfast. I also am not sure how many calories I eat a day. That's where me making this post comes in. Can someone explain to me how to calculate how much weight I would lose in a week?

I went to a website that that claimed that it can calculate how many calories you lose while exercising. Again, I'm not sure how accurate this is, but according to that website, doing the Elliptical for 15 minutes at my body weight, I lose about 389 calories. I eventually want to go longer than 15 minutes, but right now that is good enough for me. Anyway.. How do I calculate how much weight I lose a week? Only thing I really know is 3,500 calories is 1 pound.
