How many calories?
I'm sorry to be postinging this again, as it is similar to other posts; but I am just really lost in trying to figure out the right number of calories I should be aiming to eat each day. I do finally have an appointment set up with a nutritionist, but it is almost 2 months away and I don't want to stay stalled until then. In the past, I have been given the advice that I am eating just the right amount, but also some advice that I may be eating to little and causing my metabolism to slow down and store fat. So basically, I am just really, REALLY confused on how to figure out what the right calorie goal is for me. I know no one on here is really an expert, but any advice is very much appreciated!!!! So, a little about me:
- 110lb, 5ft, 25yr female (only looking to lose about 5lbs for training purposes)
-I run 1hr/day Mon-Fri, and 1.5hrs Saturday and Sunday (averaging about 55 mpw)
-I am on my feet almost all day, but not necessarily moving around (so lightly active I would say)
I've calculated my BMR off of a few sites, but don't really know where to go from there. If I subtract a couple hundred calories from that to great a deficit for weight-loss, it leaves me with just like 1000 calories. I haven't gone as far as to actually eat that few without seeking advice first, because quite honestly it just doesn't seem safe! So like I said, I know no one on here can actually give me a real concrete answer, but any input would really help! Thank you all so much in advance!!!
