i want to gain weight because i m so skinny...

My 22 year old son is also trying to gain weight. He has built up muscles by going to the gym and working out. Also, he uses some kind of powder that he gets at the nutrition shop and drinks it daily. I am not sure what it is or what the ingredients are. He said it is safe. i'm not sure if it has worked.
I tell him enjoy being thin now because it will catch up with you later in life!
Also, I was skinny so i know what you are going through. I used to drink nutrament but didn't really gain weight.

You'll want the powder shakes that contain creatine and protein, drink it before working out and not only does it give you an energy boost before your workout it also helps you gain weight. Do this for at least a month and be diligent about your workout routine. Increasing muscle mass is the best way to gain healthy weight.

Do you have any idea as to why you have issues gaining weight? Thyroid problems? Chronic diarrhea?

My husband also has the same problem. He is a bit skinny and a picky eater. He once had maintained a Chinese vitamins and it worked for him.

What Frisson said. Be sure it's whey protein, not soy. Soy protein has been reported to contain phytoestrogens, which may curb the androgenic effect of testosterone in his body. Also, if it's whey protein it should contain the necessary Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA), but have him check the label. The protein shake should also be taken no longer than an hour after his workout because the muscles are primed at that time to take in more protein.
