Why am I gaining?

In the past year and a half or so I have lost 50 pounds. I exercised, ate much less, and ate healthy. I had been over weight my entire life, and finally made a change. I did not vary from my 118 pound, 5'5 frame all during the year (August-April) But then it seemed like all of a sudden I gained. Before I could do anything my weight increased to 125, and I have no idea why. My eating habits didn't change, and if anything I was on my feet more! I recently got a job at a pizza restraunt and am on my feet for 5 hours at a time 3-4 days a week. I began increasing my exercise, and trying to cut back on my fat intake (natural peanut butter, avocados, dark chocolate) and tried to up my protein but nothing has changed. If anything I may have gained a few more! My collar bone has become less defined, and the bones on my shoulders don't stick out as much. (My mom says I look so much healthier) My clothes still all fit, but I am just at a loss. Lately I get full when I've barely eaten anything (all healthy) When a few months ago I could eat whatever, whenever and it not have a negative affect. The only change I can think of is when I have work I will eat a meal that subs as both lunch and dinner around 3 or 4, then come home from work at 9 or 10 and not have anything else until morning. That is really my only diet change. Is my metabolism messed up!? What's going on and how do I stop it?

Re: Why am I gaining?

You need to eat more than twice a day. You should eat at least 3-4 times a day, but they should be small portions. The way you're eating now could have your metabolism low, that's probably why you're gaining. As a matter of fact, if you don't eat enough or don't eat period, your body will go into starvation mode causing it to store fat which will cause you to gain weight. Just drink water and stay away from sugar as much as possible.

Don't try to starve yourself. Try to eat three times a day of course with the same healthy foods you are eating.
