hi iv currently invested in a elliptical cross trainer at home hopeing to loose and burn some fat and flab currently doing 20 mins then some sit ups and push ups is this going to work or should i be doing somethin else aswell
An elliptical trainer is a good plan. There's just one thing you have to watch out for: Sometimes, when people start exercising, they eat more, so watch your diet too.
You don't have to cut down to 1,000 calories a day or anything, just limit the junk food, fried stuff, meat, cheese and dessert.
I really like the elliptical! Its a lot easier on the joints than some of the other machines. You may want to look into doing some sort of strength training. Lean muscle burns more calories. I would invest in either some hand weights or resistance bands. Both have programs that can be done at home. I have lost 40 pounds so far and really saw my weight loss take off when I added in the strength training. I also made sure to eat right and enough of the right stuff. I would look at your BMR so you can target how many calories to take in with exercise. Sorry to ramble, this has become a passion of mine .
Good advice Jane! I have been using an elliptical trainer at home for some time, and it really helps you lose weight. I have tried other machines but the elliptical trainer is my favorite by far. Good luck!
