I am 33 years old. Have been overweight my entire adult life. Due to some joint injuries (rt knee and both ankles) can do very little walking/running activities. I work in a fast food restaurant, so healthy eating is extremely difficult. Have been looking into the juice fast. Heard lots of good and bad about it. Would like to connect with someone on here who is doing/contemplating doing the juice fast.
Well, the up side is, you'll lose some weight, and you won't have to think about what to eat.
The down side is, you're going to be more hungry than you can possibly imagine, and you may find yourself dizzy. You may even lose muscle along with the fat.
Hello,
You can and will lose weight with a liquid/juice fast. I was on a 40 day liquid fast a few years ago (this was a spiritual thing not for weight loss) and dropped about 30-35lbs but in the end you will gain a bit back initially but you have to work hard to keep most of it off. In my case afterwards I ended up keeping 15lbs off.
You just have to be careful, not to fast too long and always best to consult a doctor when starting something drastic like that especially if deciding to do it for a while.
I don't agree with that juice fast. It is better if you try to eat more healthy foods and drink lots and lots of water. That is the best and healthiest way to lose weight.
