Weights?

I want to lose weight so i have been doing cardio for the past week, i am going to start using weights to help with the weight loss and just to tone up. I just want to know should you work the same muscle groups one day or various; for example Mondays - Arms Tuesdays - Legs Wednesdays - Abdominal! Thank you for any replies

It is better to consult a fitness instructor to guide you better on which muscles to focus depending on your built.
