Diagnosis
 

I know this isn't a very active board but I'm hoping someone will give me a little insight. A coworker has been diagnosed with West Nile Virus. She was on chemotherapy for cancer when she was stricken with this. She's been in the ICU since Sept 1 and they just make the diagnosis on the 10th. Most of the time she's been unconscious and on a ventilator. I hear she's trying to open her eyes but I don't know how accurate that is. It was mentioned she might be moved to rehab. My question is what are the possible side effects of this virus and should a long stay in rehab be expected? Thanks for any information :(
