Post Spotting too early

I am about 9 days from AF. I am pretty regular and my cycles are usually 28 days. But I started spotting the day before yesterday and it lasted until last night. It was so light and color was pinkish/brown. Even the color was pale. But it was not normal discharge. I don't have any kind of infection or anything. I just wondered what it could be maybe implantation spotting? I had sex with my hubby a week ago and we used WD for protection. I never do this, has anyone ever had very light spotting and do you know what it was from? I haven't had anymore since. I appreciate any help.
