Post Chronic Irritation

I've been to my doctor recently for chronic vaginal irritation which has gotten worse over the last two years. It is now to the point where it is constant. They found no yeast or any infections and did a biopsy with negative results. Doc gave me a steroid cream which does not seem to be helping me. The only thing that helps is a cream to numb the area. I know this won't cure me though. Any suggestions or has anyone had this before. I'm desperate.

Sorry to hear about your 2 year problem.

I have been having infections (yeast and bacterial) since July 2002. It scares me that this may not get "cured" and continue like yours did.

If mine gets resolved,(I went to a new doctor last week to try to get some help with this. - a urologist, gave up on my GYN) I'll let you know.

My doctor said my problem was caused by "chronic irritation". I think it comes from my own body secretions (not tight pants as suggested by doc). So I've started on a candida cleanse program. Amazingly, I seem to be better already. Good luck to you and keep me posted.
