Question PMS and cramping.. no period

I'm 20 years old and my period is usually pretty regular. I may be a few days early if anything but never late. Well I am about 4 days late now. Had just about the worst attack of PMS Ive ever had. I mean I've never gotten that depressed when PMSing before. And I've had some light cramping and that feeling like its there and im just about to start but that kinda comes and goes and i never started. I also had some very light spotting a few days ago. Im not pregnant. I took two pregnancy tests in the last few days and both were negative and being that im days late im sure it wasnt too early to take the test. Ive had all these symptoms of a regular period starting but never started and Ive never missed a period before. I'm not having any strange symptoms or anything to lead me to believe its some sort of infection or anything like that. The severe PMS has me a bit concerned though. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on with me? If its really no big deal then id like to know before rushing to the doctor.

If they were urine tests then chances are they could have been wrong. There are many, many cases of fasle negatives when it comes to urine tests. I know with my first son I had to wait an extra two weeks after I missed my period before I urine test worked for me. I also have known people who never got a + urine test even though they were 2 and 3 months pregnant. So dont count pregnancy out just yet. If there is a chance in other words if you are sexually active then go get a blood test by your doctor.
Now there are other reasons. Such as stress or being sick can throw off your cycle. When a cycle gets thrown off it tends to effect you in other ways as well. Such as more intense PMS or cramps.
Also PMS signs can be identical to pregnancy signs.
