I have been taking Nordette birth control pills for half a year. I have noticed I have major mood swings that I didn't have before. I hardly have any periods. IF I do, it lasts a day. I never thought I would say this, but I rather have a period!! My libido is decreased, but I have heard birth control pills do this anyways??? Is this true? I took myself off of them last month and I feel great. I need a new pill, and plan to call my doc in the morning. I would just like to know if I'm crazy or what!! Any info would be helpful.

I thought I was the only one experiencing some of this. I am using Nordette just finished my first pack and am having major mood swings! I thought about just going off of them all together.

Have you noticed weight gain? I have gained three pounds this month since going on these pills.

I hate them!

Hey, thanks for replying. Time had passed and I thought I was the only one on Nordette. Yes, I have gained weight with it, and I always feel hungry! I've got to change to something different. My friend works for a Ob/GYN and she says Ortho low dose is really good.
